Opening Night/Closing Night

It all happens so fast!  We have been in the midst of working, running like crazy, and now here we are, approaching closing night.

Looking forward to the whole ritual of preparation for the performance and then, quite suddenly it seems, we go right on to the strike!

CoACTION: Force or Compulsion?

Choreography:  Wojciech Mochniej and Melissa Monteros

Lighting Design:  Steve Isom
Performers: Natalia Babanova, Lauren Cote, Laura Henley, Chelsey Higdon, Rufino Rodriguez and Luis Najera
CoACTION: Force or Compulsion? is a dance theatre work that explores the expressive range and impulse of our human interactions. Are our actions put into motion by force or compulsion? By circumstance or determination? By impulse or desire?

CoACTION at the Pumphouse Theatre

W&M Physical Theatre will present their latest work, “CoAction: Force or Compulsion?” on April 5th and 6th at the Pumphouse Theatre at 8pm.

Based on the work in progress ‘Arrivals and Departures’ this dance theatre work explores change and the relationships between

us that both propel and repel.

Collaboration

As we were setting up in the theatre yesterday, I was marvelling at how important collaboration is and how impossible it is to make dance work without the commitment of so many! There were W, Steve, Veronica, Adele, Rob and Brian; all working toward getting this work up and running with sweat, good humour and creative intelligence. Thank you, all of you!
